| Co-Operatives |

Our members work and benefit together by producing things like beadings, food or first-aid-kits for themselves and selling it to other children. The money they make by selling their products to other community members or students at their school they use for the needs of the group as a whole. Every Group or Health Centre can start a Co-Op. but the product has to fit in the CM values, it has to benefit the well-being of the Co-Op. as well as the customers. For example one of our existing Co-Ops in a Health Centre supplies the students at their school with first-aid-kits, which everybody should have top ensure proper treatment after any kind of injury. They also supply the girls with sanitary towels for when they get their monthly period, which not all of them had access to before. The Bead-making which a lot of members learnt in several workshops facilitated by the CRC fits into our cultural programme, where member learn not only to be consumers but also producers of their culture. Beadings have always been part of the diverse african cultures. The Bead-making even showed an amazing therapeutic effect on both body and soul of the children, allowing you to get lost into a world of creativity and forgetting all other things around you.
