Network of Children's Organisations

We believe, that a childs role in building a better world for him/herself and the community can be strengthened by a Network of all the different children's organisations. Our dream is to help build and sustain a network of children's organisations. All school-based, faith-based, sports clubs, boy scouts and girl guide movements etc. should come together to make this dream possible. It does not mean that organisations that join the network must give up their independence.

We invite all children's organisations to join the Network of Children's Organisations.

Poster on collaboration by CM-membersThe network was launched in 2005 with the participation of several children's organisations. Members of the Network include: Protestant Pentecostal Church Sunday Schools Movement (PPC), Peacejam and the CRC.

So far these and other network-partners have arranged several programmes and attended international events. Some examples are: Education and Training programmes, Cultural activities, World Media Summit for Children, National Network Workshop in Cape Town, established an on-going Anti-Racism and Anti-Xenophobia Campaign and organised an Anti Racism/Xenophobia Conference for Children.

The Children's Resource Centre is also part of the following Networks:

-ACESS - Alliance for Children's Entitlement to Social Security. A network of more than 2000 organisations working with children.
-Internationally, we are part of the International Working Children's Movement mainly based in South Africa.
