CHILDRENS MOVEMENT NOW IN MARIKANA

The children's Movement are now established in Marikana Wonderkop in the North West Province. Implementing the Movement in all the regions in South Africa is part of rebuilding the movement and putting Our Children back on the national agenda.

CLEAN HANDS CAMPAIGN

The Children's Movement will soon launch our "CLEAN HANDS SAVES LIFE CAMPAIGN "
The purpose of the campaign it to introduce of hand washing linking it with the making of a squeeze bottle to ensure access to water for washing of hands and also to contribute to the saving of water.

This initiative is also part of an ongoing campaign.

Lobbing for free Sanitary towels from goverment

Our GCM was represented at the goverments youth day launch in SOweto at Hector Petersen Square. Whereby we were Lobbing for free sanitary towels from our national goverment.

Western Cape GCM TRAINERS OF TRAINEES WORKSHOP

The Western Cape held a GCM Trainer of Trainees Camp at the Lutheran Center from the 03-05 June 2016.
The aim of the training was to train a core group of Trainers to assist and further the Education and Training to the broader GCM in area , school and community groups
50 delegates represented our groups and schools in Khayelitsha, Gugulethu, Nyanga, Factreton, Delft and Mitchell's Plain.

Child to Child Health

Through our Health Programme we help set up Child-to-Child Health Centres in schools (both primary and secondary). At the moment we have more than 40 such centres in different schools in South Africa. These Health Centres are run by Child-to-Child Health teams that are selected at the schools and our groups. The main focus of the Health Centres is Personal Hygiene.
